Michael E. Underwood, Esq. is an experienced attorney who has represented thousands of people in numerous State and Federal Courts throughout New York.
Academics: Mike Underwood is admitted to practice law in New York and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lynchburg College (Virginia) and his Juris Doctorate degree from Michigan’s Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, the largest law school in the United States. Experience: Attorney Underwood has over 18 years of experience helping clients all across New York State. His primary areas of practice are Divorce & Family Law. However, in the past he has helped numerous clients with personal injury, estate planning, traffic tickets, real estate matters, bankruptcies and landlord/tenant matters. Prior to opening the Underwood Law Firm, his previous employment was with well established law firms in Syracuse, New York. Attorney Underwood frequently provides legal lectures in the community and offers free consultations in an effort to provide everyone with access to legal help. New York State Bar Association Awards: Top 100 Lawyer by The American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) (2018) Personal: Mike, a Syracuse native, resides in Syracuse with his wife and sons.
